  • How much does it cost to build a home?

    Southern Homes offers preselected turnkey (spec) homes at various starting price points.  These homes can provide insight of all the expectations of a home at those prices with the exception of the land / property that it may be built upon.  Additionally, the price of our fully customized homes vary according to your specific desires and needs. 

  • How long does it take to build a home?

    The length of time varies based  upon the city / county as the permit process can be very slow in some areas (which Southern Homes has little influence).  Once we break ground, we are susceptible to weather.  However, once the concrete is poured, we guarantee that the home will be built in 5 months or less.  In some cases, we are complete in 3 months.  Again, the size, features, and customization of your home also has an impact in the timeline of building your home.

  • Do I have to have my own land?

    Southern Homes has limited property from which to choose from. However, we will happily build on your property. 

  • What about financing?

    If you already have financing lined up with a financial institution, Southern Homes will gladly work with your lender. If you do not, we have multiple financing partners that can best fit your needs.

  • Do I need a realtor?

    No, you do not need to have a realtor to start the home building process.  Southern Homes works directly with you every step of the way.  However, if you are currently working with a realtor, Southern Homes will be happy to coordinate with them. 

  • Do you offer warranty on your homes?

    Southern Homes proudly offers a full 1-year “bumper to bumper” warranty on your entire home. Also, many of our products come with an additional warranty. For example, shingles can range from 20 – 50 years; siding may have a limited lifetime warranty; HVAC from 5 – 10 years; etc.
